I hate it when they're right.

Them. Those people. The kind of people who say "Oh, just wait until you have kids", "You'll see", "You don't understand until you're in the throes of it!". I hate it when they're right. And I promised myself that I would not say it to other women, but I may have. I know, I am hanging my head in shame. They were right. Nothing prepares you for mommyhood. NOTHING.

I have a 19 months old daughter whom I lovingly refer to as "Toot", because she does a lot of that. I also have a 3 year old furbaby, my first born. They are my world! Nothing prepared me for the lack of sleep, the acid reflux, the constant screaming and crying, the tantrums, the explosive poops, the puke, the fevers, the rashes, the drool, the boogers, the poop-eating (the dog - not the baby!)... none of it. And nothing could prepare me for the love that I would feel as soon as I laid eyes on that adorable face.

She is a pip. She is hilarious, just like her mother. The first thing she did when she was born was stick her tongue out at me!

So, without further ado, I give to you... my blog. It's all about the ups and downs of motherhood... the laughter, the tears, the yelling, the kicking, the screaming... oh, and I'll write about the baby too!
